About the role

The position will be responsible for areas as designated by the Assistant Manager, Application Development – primarily focusing on analysing and validating data, creating reports and dashboards, performing trend analysis, supporting data integration, leveraging automation, visualisation, and AI-powered analytics tools to deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making, supporting AI strategy, governance, and roadmap development, along with any other relevant tasks as assigned.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support analytics initiatives.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Collaborate with business units to deliver data-driven solutions and build insightful data models.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and trend forecasting to inform strategic management decisions.
  • Investigate, validate, and resolve data-related issues to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure data compliance with Data Governance, IT Audit, and Security requirements.
  • Leverage AI analytics tools and contribute to the planning and execution of AI roadmaps and adoption initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain procedural and technical documents in areas such as data analysis.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with application vendors by communicating and conducting regular reviews of status and issues.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field from a recognised institution, with at least three (3) years relevant work experience.
  • Master's degree holder in a relevant discipline can be considered.
  • For Bachelor's holders, at least three (3) years of relevant working experience in any two of the following domains: data insights, dashboard development, data extraction, data modelling, statistical analysis, data validation, or data governance compliance.
  • Familiarity with AI and generative AI tools, including their application in data analysis, automation, decision support, and governance.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and extract insights from complex datasets.
  • Familiar in designing interactive dashboards and presenting insights through dashboard and visualisation tools.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to both technical professionals and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a consultative and team environment.
  • Familiar in data query languages such as SQL, Python, or low-code platforms such as Power BI.
  • Ability to abstract and build data models for analysis.
