Senior Engineer/IT Software Engineer (Penang)

We are looking for an ERP / Smart Manufacturing Systems Engineer to develop, maintain, and support ERP and SCADA systems to ensure stable and efficient manufacturing operations. The role will work closely with production, engineering, and business teams to support system integration, troubleshoot technical issues, implement system enhancements, and drive continuous improvement of manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• 1. Develop, maintain, and support ERP systems to ensure stable and efficient business operations.
• 2. Provide maintenance and technical support for Smart Manufacturing SCADA systems.
• 3. Collaborate with production, engineering, and business users to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.
• 4. Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• 5. Support system integration between ERP, SCADA, and other manufacturing systems.
• 6. Prepare technical documentation, system specifications, and user manuals.
• 7. Participate in system upgrades, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2. 3–5 years of experience in ERP system development, implementation, or support within the manufacturing industry.
• 3. Hands-on experience with manufacturing ERP systems and digitalization projects.
• 4. Knowledge or experience in SCADA systems and smart manufacturing environments, VUE is an advantage.
• 5. Familiar with databases, system integration, and basic manufacturing processes.
• 6. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team
• 7. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
