Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-set accounts and ensure accurate, timely monthly closing for HQ and branch offices.
  • Prepare and present management reports and financial statements to senior management.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor branch budget performance against targets.
  • Review financial KPIs, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to support daily operations and business needs.
  • Strengthen internal controls and drive continuous finance process improvement.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on collections to minimize outstanding balances.
  • Oversee vendor payment controls and ensure timely processing of payments.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules to support the annual audit.
  • Ensure tax compliance and liaise with tax agents on all corporate tax matters.
  • Supervise and guide junior finance team members to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
  • Work closely with management to support business decision-making with timely financial data.
  • Support automation and financial dashboard improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in full-set accounts, financial reporting, and management accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance, audit coordination, and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, port agency, disbursement account management, or multi-branch operations is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to management.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems or business intelligence tools is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to work in Kota Bayuemas, Klang. (Sazean Business Park)
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm; Saturday, 9.00am to 1.00pm
