Junior Product Development Executive (Bandar Bukit Raja)

Company Overview

Our client is a leading Malaysian manufacturer and a key player in the global food supply chain, specializing in innovative and sustainable fiber-based packaging solutions. With state-of-the-art facilities and a strong focus on high-hygiene standards, they serve major international brands across the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and consumer goods sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all customer requirements are met in a timely fashion by liaising effectively with internal departments;
• To assist the product development department and develop new packaging concepts whilst delivering on the organisation’s innovative and sustainability objectives;
• To assist in preparing product and process specifications and tolerances for all new products and designs, which meet all food safety, regulatory and quality requirements and have been agreed with the customer;
• To assist in maintaining up to date specifications;
• To work closely with the marketing department in identifying new markets and business opportunities and expanding the customer base and diversifying the sales portfolio particular within the domestic market;
• To carry out periodical reviews or verification that product layouts, product and process specifications, and designs are always optimised to achieve efficiency and material savings;
• To assist the organisation with all strategic initiatives that are embarked upon;
• To comply with all company policies, procedures and regulations and take all necessary precautions to ensure product safety and quality is never compromised in the course of carrying out all your duties and tasks;
• Analysing processes and implementing measures which will effect continuous improvements to efficiencies and product quality, in accordance with Company’s Quality & Food Safety Policy as well as our Manufacturing Philosophy; and
• Carrying out all other related tasks as may be required or assigned by your Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Product Design, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in product development or a related role.
• Knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
• Proficiency in design software such as CAD or Adobe Suite is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm.
• Willing to work in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang.
