Company Overview

Our client is a leading Malaysian manufacturer and a key player in the global food supply chain, specializing in innovative and sustainable fiber-based packaging solutions. With state-of-the-art facilities and a strong focus on high-hygiene standards, they serve major international brands across the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and consumer goods sectors.

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact which involves aligning customer needs to Company capabilities, in every decision making process;
• To develop creative ideas and concepts, with innovation and sustainability as the key foundation in meeting customer objectives;
• To lead graphics development initiatives for the Company related to training, town halls, festive celebrations, campaigns, customer convention events, and social media posts;
• To have a deep, comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines;
• To manage and develop more than one NPD brief at a time and be able to allocate the relevant amount of time to ensure all development milestones are achieved;
• To meet with Marketing and Product Development Managers to discuss the business objectives and the requirements of the job.
• Where changes are made to layouts, approval is first required by the QA Assistant Manager and Senior Plant Manager.
• To be able to accurately estimate the time required to complete the work, and plan your time accordingly;
• To ensure there is 0 development failures related to Layout and Loading Specification Sheets, Graphics Development, Tooling Delays/Errors, Ink Matching Delays/Errors, Internal Order Delays/Errors, Colour Folder Errors/Delays, Trial Run Delays/Errors, and Product Manufacturing Specification Delays/Errors;
• To maintain 100% complete set of development records for all new product developments: NPD Calendar, Weekly NPD Brief, Minutes of Meeting, Post-mortem, Review Notes, Signed Customer Approvals, Valid and Accurate Specifications, Valid Statement of Compliance, New Product Validation Reports, Food Safety Lab Test Reports, and Lot A samples;
• To follow and continue to implement all Product Development SOP’s in line with Company established protocol;
• To present finalised ideas and concepts to the Marketing Manager, Product Development Manager, Senior Business Development Manager, and Senior Plant Manager for approval;
• To work with all types of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD);
• To proofread accurately in order to produce accurate and high-quality work;
• To keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in graphic design or a similar role.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative design work.
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm.
• Willing to work in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang.
