Our client is a leading Malaysian manufacturer and a key player in the global food supply chain, specializing in innovative and sustainable fiber-based packaging solutions. With state-of-the-art facilities and a strong focus on high-hygiene standards, they serve major international brands across the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and consumer goods sectors.
Responsibilities:
- To assist the factory manager with the planning, coordination and control of all manufacturing processes and schedule stability to ensure that the product is produced efficiently, with appropriate resources, of the right quality, while consistently providing the best return on the asset.
- To apply basic manufacturing principles and assist with strategies that minimize manufacturing costs through effective use of labour, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- To be responsible for providing engineering support to the production department and ensuring preventive maintenance plans for assets and facilities are adhered to at all times.
- To identify and implement continuous improvements to help increase productivity and profitability.
- To assist the plant manager with the preparation of weekly reports on:
- Overall operational efficiency in terms of plant capacity utilization, cycle time and process optimization, material and utility use, manpower resource planning, waste/yield and quality performance analysis in pursuit of manufacturing excellence;
- Expenses related to raw materials, spare parts, employee labour, tools and the use of other related resources and managed and controlled in the allocated budget;
- Kaizen/Productivity Improvement in relation to Operations.
- Compliance with the latest requirements of GMP, 5S, BRC standards, safety & health, and all other regulatory and statutory standards in the entire operation;
- To identify technological advances to meet the company’s competitive objectives in the market.
- To provide good leadership and ensure high morale, co-operation and good employee relations in the operational team, at all levels, including on the shop floor.
- To comply with all company policies, procedures and regulations and take all necessary precautions to ensure product safety and quality are never compromised in the performance of all your duties and duties;
- Analysing the process and implementing measures that will have a continuous impact on the efficiency and quality of the product, in line with the quality food safety policy and the company’s manufacturing philosophy; and
- Perform all other related duties as required or assigned by your manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in maintenance or a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GMP, 5S, BRC Standards, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Able to read technical drawings and use basic maintenance tools.
- Willing to work on a shift basis.
- Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia.
- Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 12-hour shift basis.
- Willing to work in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang.
