Company Overview

The company, from humble beginnings in 1985 as a small stall in a morning market, has grown into a fresh produce importer and retailer, operating a wholesale market in Klang Valley with a diverse range of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to guide and lead the cashier department, providing direct supervision, coaching, and training to junior cashier staff.
  • Oversee and manage daily cash register operations, including opening/closing of registers and performing daily cash counts.
  • Able to review and reconcile daily cash transactionsto ensure accuracy, accountability, and compliance with company policies.
  • Attend to customer complaintsand resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all checkout stations are properly staffed, clean, and running efficiently at all times.
  • Manage the distribution and collection of cash floats and ensure all stations have sufficient change for operations.
  • Identify and resolve cash discrepancies, voiding error receipts, and handling customer refunds or returns professionally.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer service escalations at the front end, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury Department and Store Management to optimize cash management and front-end workflow.
  • Monitor and verify daily till reports to identify trends or areas for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diplomain Business, Accounting, or a related field (High school diploma with significant experience also considered).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experienceas a Chief Cashier or Senior Cashier, preferably in a supermarket or hypermarket environment.
  • Strong knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systemsand cash handling procedures.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of motivating and developing a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume transactions effectively.
  • Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage).
  • Willing to work in Kawasan Industri Kampung Jaya, Sungai Buloh.
  • Working Hours: 6-day workweek with rotating shifts:
  • Morning Shift: 7.30am to 4.00pm
  • Noon Shift: 3.30pm to 12.00am
