Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Provide medication counselling and clear usage instructions to patients.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and dosage accuracy.
- Recommend suitable over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and healthcare products.
- Monitor and support patients with chronic conditions (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, asthma).
- Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Board Malaysia (PBM) regulations and MOH guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation, records, and controlled drug registers.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy assistants and trainees.
- Manage inventory, stock rotation, expiry monitoring, and ordering.
- Participate in health promotion activities and patient education.
- Uphold high standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and customer service
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent
- Fully registered Pharmacist with Pharmacy Board Malaysia (POISON A LICENSE)
- Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Community/retail pharmacy experience is an advantage (fresh graduates are welcome).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (additional languages are an advantage).
