Warehouse Lorry Driver (Simpang Ampat)

Warehouse Lorry Driver responsibilities include safely operating and maintaining the lorry, loading and unloading perishable goods, planning the most efficient routes, ensuring proper documentation, and adhering to safety regulations to guarantee timely and secure deliveries to various destinations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the lorry safely, following all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
• Plan and follow the quickest and safest routes, staying updated on road conditions and traffic.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and perform minor roadside repairs as needed.
• Supervise and assist with loading and unloading goods at the warehouse and delivery points.
• Ensure goods are properly stowed, secured, and covered to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving activities, mileage, and deliveries.
• Prepare and hand over delivery documents, receipts, and trip reports to customers and dispatchers.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding traffic issues, delays, or maintenance problems.
• Assist with warehouse duties such as filling orders and managing inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify the condition, quantity, and accuracy of goods before departure and after delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum SPM or equivalent
• Must be a Malaysian citizen
• Possess valid GDL/PSV driving license.
• Excellent driving record with no history of traffic violations, accidents and criminal records.
• Proven experience in driving 1-tonne lorries
• Good knowledge of Penang and surrounding areas roads/routes.
• Physically fit and able to handle loading/unloading perishable goods
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
