Responsibilities:
- Drive performance improvement and maximize operational and production efficiencies, along with supporting the growth of new business, through an active management of existing and new customers.
- Identify opportunities to manufacture efficiently at cost effective level by increasing productivity, efficiency, debottlenecking processes and implement innovation in the production floor
- Setup and maintain an effective compliance system of control to ensure that operations operate within the Group policies, local regulatory framework and contractual requirements
- Responsible for the effective repair and maintenance of machineries and equipment in the plant thru routine planned maintenance and authorize the approval for appropriate engineering projects.
- Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application; provide technical support and to perform product trials both locally and overseas
- Manages key projects, new capex, modification and responsible for the continuous improvement of the production.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO).
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and improve SOPs and work instructions.
- Providing strong leadership to employees at production floor, ensuring high morale, team work, good employee relations and promote team collaboration across the organisation.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to subordinates; set and manage KPIs for all direct reports.
- Support performance evaluations and staff development initiatives.
- Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring full compliance with HSE policies and guidelines, while consistently maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in risk assessments and safety audits.
- Promote safe working practices and lead incident investigations when necessary.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Prepare reports on production performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits.
Requirements:
- Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5-7 years’ relevant working experience in manufacturing environment, experience in packaging industries is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of production workflows, lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership qualities with ability to supervise, coach, and develop the production teams.
- Proficient in using production management software (experience in SAP an added advantage).
- Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage).
- Willing to work in Seksyen 28, Shah Alam.
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm.
