HSE/ISO Officer (Kota Kinabalu)

Responsibilities:-

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Duties

• Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE laws, regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents and near misses; recommend corrective actions
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and emergency response plans
• Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Promote a proactive HSE culture throughout the organization
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on HSE and maintain incident logs, audit records, training logs and compliance documentation
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors and internal departments on HSE matters

2. ISO System Implementation & Compliance

• Implement, monitor, and maintain the company's ISO management systems (ISO 37001:2016)
• Ensure all ISO-related documentation is maintained, updated and controlled
• Conduct internal ISO audits and assist in external audits by certification bodies
• Assist in preparing management review meetings and performance reports
• Facilities continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, environment, and safety
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on HSE and ISO performance indicators
• Maintain incident logs, audit records, training logs, and compliance documentation

Qualification:

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Science or Engineering discipline, Quality Management (for ISO- related roles) or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience
