Job Description

Company Overview

The company, from humble beginnings in 1985 as a small stall in a morning market, has grown into a fresh produce importer and retailer, operating a wholesale market in Klang Valley with a diverse range of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for non-halal and China-imported products.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and supplier visits to maintain product standards.
  • Manage purchasing activities using inventory or procurement systems (POS, ERP, or Excel).
  • Work closely with store operations, merchandising, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product flow.
  • Monitor product performance, stock levels, and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality assurance standards, and local regulations.
  • Travel when required for supplier sourcing, product evaluation, or store-related needs.
  • Support promotional activities through timely sourcing and stock allocation.

Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certification.
  • Hands-on experience with non-halal products is essential.
  • Prior exposure to China-imported goods or related categories preferred.
  • Experience in a butcher shop environment is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier sourcing, quality checks, and store visits.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends or public holidays, when necessary.
  • Proficient in inventory or procurement systems (POS, ERP, or Excel-based ordering).
  • Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage).
  • Basic Mandarin proficiency is a plus, especially for communication with China-based suppliers.
  • Willing to work in Kawasan Industri Kampung Jaya, Sungai Buloh.
  • Working Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8.00am to 4.30pm.
