Resident Engineer (Sembrong Kluang)

In this position, you will be responsible for the verification progress of project’s work. This role requires you to coordinate between client and third-party contractors or consultants in order to ensure project deliverables are according to plan.

Job description

• Evaluate, review and approve the Request for Inspection (RFI) Forms.
• Assist in the preparation and management of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure resource availability and project objectives are met.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and expectations.
• To verify progress of work.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure all work is carried out according to safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Verify work performed by contractors on-site aligns with the project scope, timeline, and budget.
• Act as a liaison between contractors and consultants to ensure effective communication and resolution of any issues.
• Review technical drawings, plans, and specifications, and ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
• Implement quality assurance processes and monitor compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Maintain detailed project records, including daily site reports, progress reports, and inspection records.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports, ensuring accurate and timely information for all stakeholders.
• Ensure all site operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Report any unsafe activities or hazards promptly and take corrective action as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of site supervision experience, preferably with dam-related projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, coordination, and implementation.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and project specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure strict adherence to safety measures and environmental guidelines.

Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute or willing to relocate to Sembrong, Johor
