Job Description
Customer Assistance: Sales assistants assist customers in identifying choice products, provide product information, and offer advice on products that best meet their requirements.
Sales Promotion: They promote sales by using cross-selling and up-selling techniques.
Transaction Handling: Retail sales assistants oversee debit/credit card transactions and collect cash payments for product purchases.
After-Sales Services: They handle refunds, exchanges for product returns, and provide warranty services.
Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory stock levels and facilitating restocking of out-of-stock items.
Store Maintenance: Responsible for store cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance.
Visual Merchandising: Oversee window displays and general store layout.
Communication: Escalate difficult customer complaints and communicate store issues to the retail sales manager.
Cash Handling: Balance cash registers at the end of a shift and ensure sufficient change for the next shift.
Client Relationship: Build and maintain positive trust relationships with clients to enhance patronage and increase clientele.
