Murex Test Manager

Location: KL, Malaysia

Experience: 8+ Years

Responsibilities:

As a Murex Test Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of test services by Bank appointed vendors in the conduct of testing across the GMP program.
  • Collaborating with testing service providers and other CLIENT stakeholders to review, provide feedback, and sign off on the test strategy, test plans, and other test service providers' artefacts for the testing service delivery.
  • Coordinating with the Test Governance team to ensure the adoption of testing methods, standards, and tools, and to coordinate any health checks or audits.
  • Ensuring that any changes to the scope of services are communicated to the respective test service providers, and the impact is factored into the plan.
  • Engaging with various client stakeholders to ensure testing services meet the bank's objectives and demand.
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for any issues raised by CLIENT stakeholders or testing service providers.
  • Quantifying, managing, tracking, and reporting test-related statuses, SLAs, and KPIs, and ensuring that defined testing transformation SLA and KPI targets are met for the portfolio accountable.
  • Driving and collaborating with all client stakeholders and test service providers to plan all testing-related deliveries for the portfolio accountable.
  • Participating and contributing to forums, as required, to drive testing transformation and innovation.
  • Working closely with the Test Engineering Lead to provide inputs around domain-specific test engineering requirements and ensure that they are met.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the Vendor Test Managers/Test Leads for the respective domains.
  • Engaging stakeholder communities to gather feedback on testing service delivery and identify improvement opportunities to be fed back to the Test CoE team.

Skills Required:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in computer engineering or a related field.
  • Proven working experience in test delivery or an equivalent role with at least 6-8 years of relevant experience in large and complex organizations, preferably in Banking and Finance.
  • Understanding of the bank's front, middle, and back-office operations, finance, and accounting. Experience and management of at least one Front to Back implementation within a financial services organization.
  • Proven experience in testing standards, tools, processes & methodologies, frameworks, and various delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Hybrid Agile, and Waterfall, DevOps).
  • Proven, successful track record of managing shared IT service development and/or IT Testing Services.
  • Demonstrated success in developing highly effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver collaboration, partnerships, and services.
  • Strong domain knowledge of financial market products and vendor apps like MUREX 3.1.
  • Understanding of Murex automation using GUI tools such as QTP, as well as Report comparison tools.
  • Experience with Murex setup and functional tests using various modules of Murex.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing multi-cultural, diverse, direct and virtual teams.
  • Experience with various testing tool suites like MXTest, Loadrunner/Performance Center/Sitescope, HP ALM / Quality Center, Tosca, Selenium, JIRA, etc.
  • Must display a high level of professional judgment, commitment, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Excellent client-facing, internal communications, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Testing or quality certifications, PMP certifications, and Test Maturity Model integration (TMMi) Framework awareness will be preferred.
