Responsibilities:
- To source, select and negotiate for the best purchasing package in terms of product quality, price, trade term & condition, delivery and service.
To request quotation and compare prices to achieve maximum Return On Investment (ROI)
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of purchase order and documents in accordance with approved PRF and quotation.
- To estimate and establish cost parameter and budget for purchases.
- To create and maintain good relationship with vendor and supplier.
- To negotiate appropriate contract for pricing and supply.
- To conduct routine supplier and product review and evaluation.
- To monitor the quantity and quality of goods and co-ordinate delivery to ensure that all items are delivered as per schedule.
- To responsible for material verification and goods inspection.
- To conduct regular cost down with existing supplier.
- Work with other team members from difference departments such as production, sales and QC on problem solving related to product quality issue.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Logistic/Transportation, Maritime Studies or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia.
- Candidates fluent in Mandarin is preferred as the roles requires to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
- Well organized individual who can work under pressure in a demanding and multitasking environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to detect defect and mistake easily.
- Candidates who can start work immediately will be an added advantage.
