Job Description



  • in accordance to the Group policies, Group accounting manual and operating standards and in coordination with the Regional SSC, the candidate is able to address: o the implementation and maintenance of the accounting processes and financial controls related to the following accounting areas under the scope of the Regional SSC:
    • Accounts Payable,
    • Accounts Receivable,
    • General Ledger,
    • Fixed Assets,
    • Payroll and
    • Treasury; o “PURCHASE TO PAY” and “ODER TO CASH” processes’ optimization using functionalities and options available with the newly implemented ERP System “Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012”;
  • Accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting data;
  • Coordinate Month-End closing process and adhere to group time tables;
  • Coordinate Year-End closing process and audit process and adhere to group time tables;
  • to address and manage local tax risks;
  • to ensure accuracy, monitoring and Forecasting of cash position;
  • to coordinate Foreign exchange process with Regional CFO and Group treasury;


  • Perceived as a business partner, the position needs to provide support to the local MD in performing recurring (standardized) and non-recurring (ad hoc, when required) business analysis and search for continuous performance improvements. Reference is made mainly, but not only, to:
  • Profit and loss KPIs (sales, gross margins, volumes, pricing, # customers, and operating expenditures);
  • Balance sheet KPIs (Net Working Capital captions and cash flow management);
  • Competitive landscape;
  • to ensure transparency and constant questioning of the status quo;
  • to support the local MD in monitoring and managing of credit risks, set credit limits in accordance with “internal Rules of Procedures” (IROP) and market-business requirements;
  • To ensure transparency, accuracy and clear business dynamics’ understanding within the monthly reporting cycle, including delta versus budget, forecast and prior year performances;
  • To support and facilitate the local MD during Budget and Forecasting processes;
  • To support, when necessary, M&A processes within Malaysia;


  • Fluent in English. Mandarin (written and spoken) would be plus;
  • Consolidated experience in Distribution business and background in Audit would be appreciated skills but not a “must”;
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office tools such as excel and power point;
  • familiarity with “Microsoft Dynamics 2012 ERP” would be a highly appreciated “plus”;
