Job Description

The Operations Executive role is a unique opportunity to be part of an industry-defining journey and to lead the development and deployment of outstanding Operations experiences for our clients. The Operations Executive will report to our Manager- Key Accounts and the Regional Director. The person selected will support operations, SOPs, and team structures to manage Ezyhaul's clients onto its growth trajectory and ensure that our customers remain engaged and happy. In addition, the successful candidate will be tasked with managing day to day operational issues for Ezyhaul customers in Malaysia, liaise with internal and external customers to maintain excellent service standards and build appropriate relationships to achieve SLAs.

The successful candidate will be based at our customer's site at Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Job Description:

  • Manage shipments that have been booked by Ezyhaul & customers from pick-up to final delivery
  • Actively liaise with customers and transport companies in relation to active shipments
  • Troubleshoot shipments that encounter issues (truck breakdown, rejections, delays, etc.) and actively support mitigation between Ezyhaul, customers and transportation vendors
  • Ensure all shipment related costs are accurate and updated in the system
  • Manage the performance of transport vendors and ensure that they follow the customer SOP& and safety procedures
  • Ensure that the drivers make correct and timely updates for each shipment using the driver application
  • Manage carrier performance, especially in case of repeated non-compliance
  • Support training sessions for Ezyhaul’s clients
  • Support training sessions for Ezyhaul’s transport vendors
  • Sign up carriers on Ezyhaul & platform
  • Provide support to carry out any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • We are a start-up so you need to have a passion for creating activities from the ground up and have a willingness to work in the trenches with our carrier and shipper partners
  • Candidate preferably possess a degree in logistics or engineering
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas is a must:
  • Logistics or freight forwarding environment
  • Land transport (trucking)
  • Good understanding of trucking operations with industry-leading SLAs and improving operations performance
  • Proven ability to effectively work together with external transport vendors and partners
  • Understanding the delicate relationship working with customers and sub-contractors, from negotiation till completion of transport delivery tasks
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven record of success in managing fluctuating volumes in a highly pressurized environment
  • Some flexibility in working hours required
