Job Description

You’ll undertake tasks such as filing, typing, basic bookkeeping, handling mail and making phone calls. Other typical duties include:

  1. Record financial transactions and post journal entries in accounting system;
  2. Process client’s documents such as invoices and claims;
  3. Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliation;
  4. Preparation of accounting listing such as inventory listing, fixed asset listing, salary listing and etc;
  5. Ensuring all financial amounts & records are accurate;
  6. Perform financial analysis;
  7. Prepare statement of comprehensive income (income statement) and statement of financial position (balance sheet);
  8. Prepare full set of management accounts for month-end/year-end reports;
  9. Assist in preparation of statutory accounts for audit work;
  10. Compute income tax payable report;
  11. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Accounting;
  2. Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills;
  3. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise projects to meet tight deadlines;
  4. Experience in using Microsoft Offices especially Excel and Word;
  5. Familiar or experience in accounting softwares;
  6. Ability to complete tasks on time while maintaining all confidentiality requirements;
  7. Possess own laptop.

Accounts assistants are required to have a logical mind and an ability to work well with numbers.
