Job Description

•Propose, plan, and coordinate studies for coring and core analysis, addressing the petro physical challenges of the reservoirs.
•Propose logging tools and methods for monitoring and analysis of enhanced oil recovery pilots.
•Provide petro physical input and assurance for reservoir reserves reporting and hydrocarbon maturation plans.
•Rank and prioritize petro physical research projects to improve recovery from reservoirs.
•Evaluate well pattern performance against reservoir simulation models and petro physical models, including secondary porosity.
•Provide input to geological sector models to maximize field recovery and well potential.
•Evaluate and maintain petro physical evaluation software and hardware
•Document and report petro physical evaluations.
•Coordinate budget preparation for petro physical core analysis, special studies and software acquisition.
•Cost control and verify invoices in accordance with contracts and work performed
•Maintain and develop and promote accepted standard working practices and deliverables in liaison with corporate petro physical function
•Coordinate maintenance of petro physical database with Data Manager
•Promote business awareness in decisions and recommendations
•Participate in Peer Reviews and Peer Assists
•Promote petro physical safety awareness

Skills and Qualification:
•Minimum of 10-12 years’ experience in the Oil Industry.
•Analytical work experience including core data and saturation modeling.
•Experience with enhanced oil recovery.
•Experience with Techlog an advantage.
•Experience with carbonate reservoirs.
•Strong technical foundation in petro physics
•Strong analytical skills
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Strong data discipline
•Able to be a team player
•Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English
